Kymm is a creative and agile brand management executive known for architecting business transformation via consumer-first strategies, best-in-class marketing/communications, and decisive general management acumen. In her tenure as CMO for both the American Cancer Society and the University of St. Thomas, she revolutionized organizational approaches to marketing by building modern marketing and communications centers of influence from the ground up.
During her 20-year career at Fortune 200 company General Mills, including serving as a corporate officer, she turned around performance for iconic brands and led P&Ls ranging in size from $250 million to $1.2 billion, in both the United States and Latin America.
She is recognized as a powerful community and culture builder who motivates and inspires teams and organizations to win. A collaborative yet independent thinker, she has demonstrated success across a broad spectrum of industries and environments.
Kymm holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA in International Relations and Economics from Mount Holyoke College. She is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she relocated to join General Mills' renowned brand management program, a place she now proudly calls home.
Outside of work, Kymm enjoys golf, padel, cooking, exploring new restaurants, and competing with her husband in daily games of Wordle. She values time with friends and family and is an active member of the Business Journal’s Women’s Leadership Council and the Private Directors Association.
